BIP on RESPONSIBLE RESEARCH PRACTICES IN DOCTORAL EDUCATION

Target audience: Doctoral students in STEM fields

🎯 Objective: To provide structured support to doctoral students, strengthening their ability to conduct research responsibly, including ethical decision-making, research integrity, and the responsible use of emerging technologies in knowledge production.

It also aims to support the development/review of the ethical component of participants' doctoral research projects.

Finally, it aims to promote interdisciplinarity and networking among doctoral students from several European universities.

📅 Schedule:

  • Online component (June 1-19 study of materials placed on Moodle)
  • In-person component (June 21-25, 2026)
  • Social program with doctoral students from several European universities

Location: the in-person component takes place at FEUP, Porto (Portugal)

Costs:

  • Free for doctoral students in Science and Engineering fields with active enrolment in the academic year

📜🏅 Accreditation/Certification:

  • Continuing education certificate from UPorto
  • 3 ECTS credits that may be applied to the doctoral program*
  • Inclusion in the Diploma Supplement
  • Internationally recognised certificate by the Universities of Lund, Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München, and Alcalá de Henares.
