The European PhD Hub vision
The PhD Hub is the single online resource for business-driven research. It connects PhD candidates, universities and businesses at local and European level. The PhD Hub is an EU-funded project under Erasmus+ Key Action 2 - Knowledge Alliance.
A quality framework for University-Business cooperation
Local hubs are structuring strategic cooperation between academia, industry and their research activities. Their members (industry, PhD candidates, researchers) can access international cooperation opportunities offered by the online portal.
An online infrastructure to increase the impact potential of research activities
Members of local PhD Hubs share information both at local and European level. It increases cooperation opportunities and enhances transferability of research results to the wider society (also referred to as industry).
Interdisciplinarity and attractiveness as keys to success
Connecting PhD candidates with businesses across research fields both a local and European level opens new research opportunities and tears down silos among research actors. Enhancing the innovation potential of research makes it also more attractive to prospective students.
Join the Hub
The PhD Hub implements a coordination mechanism triangulating the needs of businesses, universities and PhD candidates. It triggers new funding opportunities via calls for cooperation and allows PhD talents to answer the research and innovation needs of public and private entities.

Universities
The PhD Hub allows universities to connect with industry in a meaningful way. It concretises partnerships with local businesses via calls for cooperation. When setting up their local Hub, universities can invite/find partners on the platform and establish open PhD position. The local Hub allows universities to easily implement industrial PhD programmes and attract the best talents. Contact us to join the Hub!

Businesses
Businesses need innovation within their market to remain competitive and face a globalised competition. The local Hub can support an increase in R&D and innovation capacity. It allows for structured cooperation with the universities and opens additional funding opportunities to bring their businesses forward in the knowledge-based society. Contact us to join the Hub!

PhD Candidates
The platform is a marketplace for PhD candidates who wish to apply their research in industry. PhD offers are published and cover a wide range of fields of science. The PhD Hub enables candidates to easily search and apply for opportunities and get proper support from both the academic and corporate fields. Join us now!
