The Faculty of Management provides world-class education to nearly 5,000 students and the academic staff of the Faculty, numbering almost 200 academics, carry out research in management-related sciences in cooperation with international partners, according to best regional and international practice. In addition, the Faculty of Management is the leading scientific and didactic centre in the region of Lodz, specialising in management-related sciences.
Though the Faculty of Management is a fairly young business school, there has been significant growth in intellectual potential since it was established. The Faculty started with 89 academic teachers and that has expanded to nearly 200 members of staff and the growing number of students is further evidence of development. Student numbers have doubled from 2,050 to nearly 5,000 and although the majority of students are of Polish origin, there has been a considerable growth in the number of international students – one of the strategic objectives of the Faculty is to become a genuine melting pot of business students from throughout the globe.
We offer both undergraduate (bachelor level) and graduate (master level) programmes in Management entirely taught in English. These programmes aim to create high potential specilaists capable of working effectively in global business regardless of the situation, business, location or culture.
The mission of the Faculty of Management, University of Lodz is to develop theoretical and applied knowledge in the field of management and finance by conducting scientific research and teaching at an international level. With our activities, we contribute to the economic, social and cultural development of Poland and Łódź region. We are an organisation focused on cooperation with domestic and international educational and research institutions, as well as entities from the business environment and the public sector. Our distinguishing features are: an interdisciplinary approach to scientific, research and teaching specialisations, ethics, responsibility, professionalism and modernity in action, as well as the ability to anticipate and effectively respond to changes occurring in the environment.
