Description of the research topic:
Detailed reaction mechanisms may contain several hundred or thousand reaction steps and are widely used in many areas of science and technology. A computational procedure and related computer codes were recently elaborated that allow the consideration of several thousand experimental data points and provide the parameters of a detailed reaction mechanism that can be used for the simulation of these experiments and also other systems of scientific or technological interest. The applicant will work on the development of new optimized reaction mechanisms in the field of the combustion of renewable fuels and new energy carriers.
